Red Dot has supplied heating, air conditioning, and ventilation units and systems for military vehicles since 2004, when the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) called with an urgent need to protect soldiers from high temperatures inside HMMWVs with field-fitted armor.

Drawing on 40 years of experience with heavy trucks and off-highway equipment, Red Dot required just one week to create a prototype capable of lowering the temperature inside a HMMWV cab by as much as 30 degrees F. We entered full production less than 90 days later to provide nearly 30,000 unit kits for HMMWVs.

Today, Red Dot is the leading supplier of HVAC systems for armored tactical wheeled vehicles and heavy equipment used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps in all types of environments. Our field-fitted and factory-installed systems equip platforms including: FMTV, MRAP, MATV, LSAC, and M939. Red Dot is part of the JLTV program, supporting two suppliers.
