Red Dot Supplies HVAC Units for Case IH and New Holland Windrowers

SEATTLE (June 1, 2005) -- With the start of the summer farming season, Red Dot Corp. announced that its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units are now installed on deluxe self-propelled windrowers made by CNH for its Case IH and New Holland brands. 

Windrowers are machines used by farmers to increase haymaking productivity.

"The operator sits in a spacious cab on the machine," said Pat Carroll, Red Dot manager of OEM sales. "On all sides, the cab has broad, curved glass from floor to ceiling. In the summer, with the engine fan blasting hot air against the back of the cab, the temperatures inside the cab can exceed 125 degrees F. Our HVAC system helps ensure the level of comfort that Case IH and New Holland customers expect."

Red Dot's HVAC unit mounts on the exterior of the vehicle and delivers 497 cfm of airflow, "one the highest-airflow systems we produce," said Carroll. It is capable of cooling the cab from 125 degrees F to 75 degrees F in 15 minutes in 110-degree ambient temperature.

The heater, while not of primary concern on a vehicle generally used in warm climates, can raise the cab temperature to more than 70 degrees F within five minutes at 30-degree ambient conditions.

Carroll said Red Dot's ability to quickly respond to CNH's high expectations for operator comfort was a key factor in winning the windrower supply agreement.
