Red Dot Honors Kool Radiator Service with Presidents Award

SEATTLE (April 26, 2005) -- Red Dot Corp. presented Les Beatty, president of Kool Radiator Service, with its prestigious Presidents Award for extraordinary support of Red Dot products.

Beatty and Kool Radiator Service, based in Southgate, Mich., introduced Red Dot products into a U.S. Army application that resulted in a contract to produce air-conditioning units for military vehicles in Iraq. Red Dot has since become a preferred supplier of HVAC components for armored U.S. Army trucks.

"Les and Kool provided the product knowledge and experience we needed to show how effective Red Dot air-conditioning systems can be in demanding military applications," said Randy Gardiner, president of Red Dot. "This award is in appreciation of the hard work and dedication of Les and his staff."

Beatty noted that Kool Radiator has been part of the Red Dot family since 1984. "We're especially proud of our role with Red Dot and the U.S. military," he said. "We're helping to keep troops safe."

Red Dot has issued its Presidents Award only six times since it was introduced by the company 20 years ago.
