Red Dot Expands to Europe
For several years, Red Dot has maintained a European sales office, but with rapidly expanding demand and opportunity, Red Dot Europe was formed in 1998, headquartered in Ipswich, England. The warehousing and light assembly plant is Red Dot's first facility outside the United States. With several new European customers and projects underway, company officials expect Red Dot Europe's presence to continue to expand with the growing demand for A/C among European manufacturers.
Founder Transfers Ownership to Employees

Three decades after founding Red Dot, Harky Runnings kept his promise to transfer 100 percent of Red Dot's ownership to the Red Dot Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
"This has been a long-time objective of mine," said Runnings.
"Red Dot is a family business, and I have always considered our employees to be family. They are the reason for Red Dot's success. After 35 years of successful growth, the employees and management team are fully prepared to build upon Red Dot's accomplishments and pursue their own destiny."
